Neighbors Helping Neighbors on The Main Line

Mission:

One day, every person will have fair and even access to the resources and opportunities they deserve. Neighbors Helping Neighbors on the Main Line (NHN) stands in the gap for underrepresented neighbors in Lower Merion Township while educating and reforming the entities that serve them, creating an empowered community where everyone has the tools they need to thrive. With a holistic approach to human services, NHN has become the soft landing of solutions for those falling between the cracks of standard safety net systems.

In 2024-25, Dr. Darlyne Bailey of Bryn Mawr College’s Social Justice Initiative conducted a year-
long study of Neighbors Helping Neighbors on the Main Line’s education programs through her Community Dialogues for Action (CDA).

The recently completed 34-page report outlining NHN strategies has been added to the 2026
CSWE Curricular Guide for Macro Social Work Practice, utilized by 950 colleges and universities nationwide!
