Helping Hand Project Housing Development Partnership
Project background
In 2022, Pakistan faced one of the most challenging flood situations in recent memory, as heavy monsoon rains, compounded by various environmental factors, triggered widespread flooding across several regions of the country. The 2022 flood brought about a catastrophic housing crisis with 2 million + homes totally or partially destroyed, leaving countless families without shelter. The intensity of the flooding resulted in the collapse and inundation of homes across various regions in Pakistan, leaving many people homeless.
Project Brief Note
The project aims to provide permanent homes that offer adequate living conditions for the flood affected communities. This includes providing sufficient space, proper ventilation, sanitation facilities, and basic amenities such as electricity, and cooking facilities. The home has been designed and constructed using quality materials and techniques to ensure the safety of the residents.
